Aerospace Gets Bigger in the South Bay

The South Bay was grown on the Aerospace industry. Many movies have reminded us of our spacey past .

Who can forget the Falcon and the Snowman? The Timothy Hutton and Sean Penn characters from their Palos Verdes upbringing and Hutton living in Hermosa Beach while he worked at TRW.

Much of the wealth of the South Bay was born from the space race and cold war. Then along came the 90s. The cold ware ended and many of the contracts left town.

Enter the modern private era of space travel. First there was Richard Branson’s private space flights  and that crazy billionaire, Tesla CEO Elon Musk. He has given Hawthorne Space X!
